Weekly Goals: Students will be gearing up for the second round of the Presidential Fitness Challenge.
1. Students will be timed for 1 minute in which they will complete as many sit ups as they can with correct form.

Weekly Goals: Students will continue to build on their skills of volleyball and begin participating in volleyball matches.
Mon. 1/19 Objectives: Students will be further developing their skill of the forearm pass, setting and serving in the sport of volleyball.
Activities: 1. Students will prepare for activity by properly stretching.
2. Students will complete a 5 minute run to elevate their heart rate in an attempt to continue building their
endurance and having their bodies ready for a movement.
3. Students will be able to successfully serve 7 out of 10 balls across the net.
4. Students will practice setting to a basketball goal and make as many as they can for 5 minutes.
5. Students will be using proper technique passing in a group trying to get as many successive passes as they can
without failure.
Tues. 1/20 Objectives: Students will be introduced into the basic rules and strategies of volleyball in preparation for games and a
tournament.
Activities: 1. Students will prepare for activity by properly stretching.
2. Students will complete a 5 minute run to elevate their heart rate and improve endurance.
3. Students will learn the rules to the game of volleyball through instruction and watching a practice game
with a focus on scoring and strategy.
4. With any time remaining, students may practice their skill and/or a game of volleyball.

Weekly Goals: Students will continue to learn and practice new moves in the sport of wrestling. By mid week, students will begin
learning referees position and breakdown moves. By end of week, the hope is to get to some live wrestling matches.
Mon. 2/16 Objectives: Students will participate in a unit of wrestling.
Students will be exposed to warmups specific to the greco-roman sport of wrestling.
Students will learn legal moves and counters to the sport of wrestling.
Activities: Students will warm up by practicing all the moves we have learned to this point.
Students will learn cradle, Wizard, and some defense moves to prevent or defend a half.
Students will also learn some variations to finish a single leg and to kick out of a cradle.
Students will then drill 30 second take downs and take down to pin.
Students will also drill 20 seconds of being put in a half and trying to escape or finish with pin.
Tues. 2/17 Objectives: Students will participate in a unit of wrestling.
Students will be exposed to warmups specific to the greco-roman sport of wrestling.
Students will learn legal moves and counters to the sport of wrestling.
Activities: Students will warm up by practicing all the moves we have learned to this point.

Weekly Goals: Students will continue to build on their skills of volleyball and begin participating in volleyball matches.

learning referees position and breakdown moves. By end of week, the hope is to get to some live wrestling matches.
